Sugar and sweets make me happy.  Making things off of Pinterest makes me happy.  Realizing that the DOF was too shallow after the homemade pop tarts are consumed does not make so happy…I would have liked to reshot these.  This is SOOC and could use some WB work too.  But alas we are on the road and I want to get this out.  I’ll just have to make them again when I get home.  My boys were VERY happy that I made these too!

Well, this week was Valentine’s Day.  I usually look forward to what Valentines my boys and I are going to make for their classmates (see last year’s here).  But this year they decided that they wanted only to give Avenger and Star Wars store bought cards…insert mom’s pouty face here.

So instead of worrying about the kids’ Valentines I decided instead to focus on the teachers!  So, I turned to trusty Pinterest to see what I could find.  I decided I wanted to make some paper flower bouquets using the techniques found in this pin…

Well it is almost time to close out January.  The first month of the new year.  How we doing?  Well, I have good news and bad news.  First, the good news: ALL the Twinkles and Hostess cupcakes are out of the house!  Yay!  Now for the bad news: I ate them all.  Back to square one.  I have a 5K registered for at the end of February so that is good.  I have yet to register for that sprint triathlon in May.  Yes, I need to do that.  I’ll work on it.  I promise.  Now back to why were here…focus people.
